Hardline Media are proud to announce, direct from the USA, one of the world's most legendary and influential bands... the mighty POSSESSED. Possessed will be headlining 4 shows on their "40th Anniversary Seven Churches Tour" in October 2025, taking in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne (Halloween night) and Canberra.
 

Noted for their fast style of playing and Jeff Becerra's growled vocals, they are often called the first band in the Death Metal genre, who paved the way for the 1980s Bay Area Thrash Metal scene, along with METALLICA, EXODUS, TESTAMENT and DEATH ANGEL. The band is also notable for featuring future PRIMUS member Larry LaLonde, who was the guitarist for Possessed from 1984 to 1987, during their most famed era.

Known for their 2 groundbreaking albums, "Seven Churches" (1985), "Beyond The Gates" (1986), and their EP "The Eyes Of Horror" (1987), POSSESSED have always been known as one of the most important bands from the original Death/Thrash Metal scene. After a long hiatus, the band returned on Nuclear Blast with "Revelations Of Oblivion" (2019).  Critics praised the album and Becerra's return, with Blabbermouth calling the album "a monstrous reaffirmation of this absurdly influential band's original ethos that it almost defies belief". Also from famed critic Max Morin, "Possessed deserve to be spoken of in the same breath as BLACK SABBATH and METALLICA when it comes to influence. Simply put, nobody does this as well as them and probably no one ever will. 'Revelations of Oblivion' was exactly the reminder we all needed".

Before singing for EXODUS, Steve was the lead singer for the band LEGACY (which became TESTAMENT after his departure), recording and writing most of The Legacy demo. At the time of his departure from LEGACY, he introduced CHUCK BILLY to LEGACY members and joined EXODUS.

SOUZA is best known for his stints in EXODUS, for whom he sang between 1986 and 1994, and 2014 to just recently in 2025. Recording the classics "Pleasures Of The Flesh", "Fabulous Disaster", "Impact Is Imminent" - back in the heyday of the Bay Area Thrash Scene - to the more recent "Tempo Of The Damned", "Blood In Blood Out" and the latest "Persona Non Grata".

THE DATSUNS - New Zealand Riff Lords Announce Australian Tour - March 2026

One of New Zealand’s fiercest rock exports, The Datsuns, will bring their all thrills and no frills brand of sleazy garage rock to their Australian fans next March.
 

The Datsuns blazed into global consciousness with their 2002 self-titled debut, a record that topped the NZ charts and hurled them onto stages with Metallica, The White Stripes, and Queens of the Stone Age. Over the past two decades, they’ve released seven albums, worked with Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones, and remain an absolutely potent live act.

Their Aussie run promises to be filled with savage hooks, honed to perfection, delivering Stoogeoid evil, powerpop crunch and the classic proto rawk assault & battery they are world renowned for.

Scandinavian drummer Adam Lindmark will drive the beast forward locking in with Dolf de Borst on bass. While upfront lead string wrangler and vocalist, Christian Livingstone, and rhythmic meister Phil Somervell bring a stack of raw, unfiltered and oh so good riffage.
